Teaching methods: task-based method, question and answer method.

Learning methods: cooperation study method; independent study method.

Teaching procedures

Step 1: Lead in

Teacher shows some pictures about jobs in order to review the words they learned before.

Step 2: Presentation

Students will have a look of the dialogue quickly and listen to the tape for the first time. After getting the main idea of the dialogues. They will listen to the tape for second time, to get the main sentences “ What do you want to be when you grow up?” “ I want to be...” They will listen to the tape for third time to imitate the pronunciation.

Step 3: Practice

Students need to listen to the radio and retell the dialogues.

Step 4: Production

1) Pair work. Students talk about their ideal job by the main sentences. One ask and the other answer.

2) Group work. They will share their ideal job in the group.

Step 5: Summary and homework

Teacher leads students to summarize what they have learned in this class.

Homework: 

1) Listen to the tape for 3 times.

2) Make a survey about their ideal job.
